Shhh! Don’t tell anyone this about App-V.  Just because you didn’t hear any sound does not mean that there wasn’t a lot a noise involved.  In the last year, Microsoft has made two incredibly big moves with its App-V product, and you probably didn’t hear much about it. What happened? First, Microsoft has effectively stopped charging you for App-V.  Second, they are now bundling it into the appropriate operating systems directly.

Roaming Profiles - What works on the latest Windows Update?

Posted by Brandon Lee on Sep 27, 2016 12:49:49 PM

Concern around the latest Windows 10 Anniversary update 1607, has brought about numerous questions that James Rankin, the AppSense Bigot, seeks to answer in his blog series, "Everything you wanted to know about virtualizing, optimizing and managing Windows 10...but were afraid to ask."

In his recent edition, which focuses primarily on roaming, James states, "For the record, most Windows 10 settings roam fine, but the main one that we've all been struggling with is the Start Menu. Microsoft Using Citrix XenDesktop to Deliver Remote Windows 10 Desktops from Azure

Posted by Benny Tritsch on May 31, 2016 2:38:29 PM

During his Synergy opening keynote on Tuesday, Citrix CEO Kirill Tatarinov made a spectacular announcement: As part of the refreshed Citrix and Microsoft partnership, XenDesktop VDI hosted on Azure will deliver remote Windows 10 desktops from the cloud. To be very clear, Kirill was not speaking about a Windows Server desktop that pretends to be Windows 10. He was talking about the “real thing”. The days of #FixVDA (= broken virtual desktop access licensing) will be gone as soon as this service is available. This is an event the entire RDS and VDI industry has been waiting for. And here are some more details.
